Claims Rx
The goal of Claims Rx is to help physicians better recognize their medical professional liability risks and implement strategies to minimize those risks. The topics addressed here are derived from numerous sources including closed malpractice claims analyses, emerging liability trends and current medical literature. Each issue is meticulously reviewed by an editorial board consisting of physicians, nurses, risk management specialists and attorneys with a mind toward optimal patient safety and proactive risk management.*
CME credit will be offered for each current issue of Claims Rx. (Please note: Each issue of Claims Rx remains current for one year following its original release date. For example, an issue of Claims Rx released in May 2010 will offer valid CME credit until May 31, 2011.)
Claims Rx is available three ways to our CPG policyholders:
- An online version is available in MyNORCAL, the password-protected website for NORCAL Mutual and CPG policyholders. Simply log in to MyNORCAL, click Risk Solutions, then click Claims Rx & MyCME. The advantage of accessing Claims Rx via MyNORCAL is that you can apply for and receive your CME credit online.
- When a hardcopy version is published, it is mailed to each CPG clinic.
- An electronic version can be mailed to individual CPG clinic providers upon request. To request a copy of the publication, email sarmenta@norcalmutual.com or call (800) 652-1051, ext. 2244.
Once you have read the Claims Rx of your choice, you can obtain CME credit online via your MyNORCAL account or by mail. To receive CME credit by mail, complete the Evaluation and CME Attestation form and mail or fax to:
